International Experience Canada (IEC) offers youth (ages 18 to 35) from more than 35 countries and territories - including Spain - an opportunity to obtain a work permit to work in Canada for up to 2 years. IEC is a program of the Government of Canada.

IEC can help you: • gain valuable international work experience while learning more about Canada’s geography, people and culture • improve your English and French language skills • enhance your personal and professional development through international experience, giving you a competitive edge in the job market • work in Canada and fund the trip of a lifetime.

What do you need to work in Canada? Foreign youth need a work permit to legally work in Canada and IEC can make it easier for you to get one! Under IEC, work permits are generally • easier to apply for online • processed more quickly • more flexible.
