Skill Requirements

✅Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

✅Knowledge in Java 8/11 and familiar with object-oriented programming principles.

✅Knowledge and/or experience with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Spring MVC.

✅Understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design.

✅Knowledge and/or experience with OpenAPI, Swagger for API documentation and design.

✅Knowledge and/or experience of unit testing frameworks: Junit, Mockito, Wiremock, MockMVC.

✅Knowledge and/or experience with data access technologies: JPA, Oracle, JDBC.

✅Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Other Requirements (Optional)

✅Exposure to containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

✅Understanding of cloud platforms and services (Azure preferred).

✅Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.

✅Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

As a Junior Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power HCLTech's next-generation solutions. You will contribute to microservice-based architectures, ensure seamless API integrations, and support the development of scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. This role is integral to advancing HCLTech's mission of delivering innovative technology solutions to clients worldwide.

- Develop and maintain backend services using Java (8/11) within a microservices architecture.

- Design, implement, and document RESTful APIs using OpenAPI and Swagger standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and ensure service reliability.

- Utilize Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Batch, MVC) for efficient application development.

- Manage project dependencies and builds with Maven.

- Write and execute unit and integration tests using Junit, Mockito, Wiremock, and MockMVC to ensure code quality.

- Implement data access using JPA, Oracle, and JDBC, ensuring optimal performance and security.

- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging to maintain high standards and resolve issues promptly.

- Work with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, version control, and deployment automation.
